The United States government has said it is eliminating the 92% of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s foreign aid contracts and almost $60 billion.
“At the conclusion of a process led by USAID leadership, including tranches personally reviewed by Secretary (Marco) Rubio, nearly 5,800 awards with $54 billion in value remaining were identified for elimination as part of the America First agenda, a 92 percent reduction,” said the State Department.
Furthermore, 4,100 of 9,100 state department grant are targeted to be eliminated, worth almost $4.4 billion.
